Flamenco Montana exists not only to share our personal love of flamenco and traditional Spanish dance arts, but also to preserve them authentically. Flamenco was designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2010. To receive this honor, an art form must be traditional, contemporary and living; in danger of deterioration, destruction, or disappearance; handed down from generation to generation; and shared beyond its community of origin. To share and preserve the art, we offer performances, presentations, classes and workshops. Flamenco Montana Festival, now in its fourth year, features Maestro Teo Morca with world renowned guitarist Carlos Lomas and powerhouse cantaor, Vicente Griego. We are honored that these artists will be featured in an exhibit and book at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, NM, illustrating the transference of flamenco arts from one generation to the next. Let us share this ancient and revered art with you!
