MEDIA KIT & SELF PROMOTION
First Night Missoula engages in major advertising campaign focused on the festival as a whole as well as the festival categories generally. We ask that you help us in this effort by reaching out to your fans and promoting your individual event.
You should have received a media kit in the informational email you received. Feel free to use these images for promoting your event and the festival as a whole.
To help our reach extend further please include #FirstNightMissoula in posts on social media.
Artists must check in at least 2 hours before their scheduled event or performance. Volunteers will be on hand at the First Night Headquarters and the University Center Help Desk (located on the first floor) to check in artists. If you have already collected your complimentary admission buttons, you may check in with a phone call to Arts Missoula – 406.541.0860.
Each member of your group is entitled to a free First Night Festival Button. Complimentary buttons are currently available for pick up at the First Night Headquarters located at the Arts Missoula office – 327 E. Broadway. Please only send one representative to collect group buttons. Artists located in Missoula are encouraged to collect their buttons in advance. Arts Missoula is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Buttons will also be available beginning at noon on December 31st at the University Center Help Desk as well as First Night Headquarters.
Each venue will have a designated loading zone. Please load and unload in a timely manner and park elsewhere. If you are performing at the University Center, you may load and unload in the back loading dock and park in the University Center parking garage. Parking will be free at the University Campus during First Night Missoula.
DO NOT PARK AT THE UNIVERSITY CENTER LOADING DOCK, MOVE YOUR CAR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
All artists are responsible for their own equipment. We encourage artists to help one another by lending equipment to those who need it; however Arts Missoula is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen equipment. We have contracted with sound and light technicians to provide and run equipment for most venues. Please be respectful of their equipment. If you experience technical difficulties that you cannot resolve, please contact First Night Headquarters immediately.
First Night Missoula is a family friendly, community festival. We ask that artists take this into consideration when preparing their performance. If you feel your performance contains material not suitable for children, please begin your performance with a disclaimer. We ask that performers refrain from obscenities, particularly in earlier performances. Racist or bigoted comments will not be tolerated.
You may sell merchandise related to your performance. Please inform us ahead of time if you need a table. You may only sell merchandise during your own performance. You must provide your own volunteer to sell your merchandise.
All artists will be paid no later than January 15th, 2017. Payment checks will be mailed to you by that time. If you have recently moved, please be sure to provide us with your current address.
