July 2018 – Upcoming Events & Arts Missoula Partnerships

It is hard to believe that it is already July of 2018! Though we are mid-summer, there are quite a few Fall events right around the corner that we are looking forward to. Keep reading for details on Germanfest, New Zealand Day and the World View Film Festival.

Germanfest

Join us on Sunday, September 2nd, 2018 at Caras Park for our 25th Anniversary of Germanfest!

Live Music/Performance!

S-Bahn brings traditional German music with a modern twist. With a diverse and eclectic repertoire, the S-Bahn specializes in Oktoberfests (German) and Malankas (Ukranian). Missoula is pleased to welcome this addition to Germanfest, sponsored by Bayern Brewery of Missoula.

German Food & Beer

Germanfest officially gets underway when the traditional keg of beer is tapped by Jurgen Knoeller, owner of Missoula’s Bayern Brewery. Plenty of bratwurst, pretzels, and traditional German pastries will be available at this Montana German festival.

New Zealand Day

Background Info

Missoula, Montana and Palmerston North, New Zealand have been Sister Cities for over 30 years. In that time the two cities have helped unite cultures and learn from each other through various cultural and educational exchanges. We celebrate this unique relationship with New Zealand Day, an event highlighting our longstanding connection with Palmerston North, New Zealand. Learn more about Palmerston North, and our Sister City relationship here.
